If humans believed that being homosexual is innate, homosexuals would be treated differently. Many homosexuals have died and are being discriminated for something that they cannot change. Media has had a huge contribution to the degradation of homosexuals by portraying them as sexual misfits. Homosexuals were always portrayed negatively on the media but within these last couple of generations we have been able to bring an awareness about this lifestyle. The media has brought us shows like "Will & Grace- and "Queer eye for the straight Guy- which in turn brought a normalization of homosexuality. These types of shows help educate and go against the ideas their religious communities have on this lifestyle. .
             A lot of religions believe that God would not hold homosexuals responsible if they had a genetic aberration that they would not help-(www.bibletruths.net). But since in their views he is holding us responsible and that he is punishing us with this curse. God at no time in the bible curses homosexuals for having this type of lifestyle. On the contrary he believes that everyone should be treated equally and be respected as brothers. Religions receive their interpretations of this hatred for homosexual by God from their Bibles but every Bible has been changed and translated in many different languages therefore allowing for error. If the religious community followed every rule and law in their bibles we wouldn't have the society we have now. Every religious community has went against policies that are in the Bible because in this time of age they are not relevant. .
             Education, Age, and gender are the control variables used because these variables might change the patterns of the belief of homosexuality being a choice or not and religion. First education as a control is very important because we can see if there is a change in ideologies with an increase of years of education. Controlling for age is important because younger people think totally different than older people.
