The Federalists Papers

The Federalists Papers starts off by the addressing all the people who live in the state of New York. It asked the question, how long will the corruption of the government last until something is done about it? It says that instead of looking outside the government for structure, it must first look inside the government, the government within itself. The author tells the people about his observations, so they would then be able to come to a decision on how they feel about the separation of powers and the government being able to vote on members of other departments within the government.
It states that the department should have little power on choosing members of other departments. It says that the people of the states should have the power to elect members, since they have no relationships or communication with the members in the departments. .
The papers then talk about the court of justice department. It says that there should be higher standards set for any member of the department. The member should be of great character, not just anyone. It says that each member should have an ambition of their own to strive for greatness. It says that before any government can control a group of people, they must first have control over themselves.
The papers say that the cure for this corruption in the government, is to separate the legislative into branches, giving each branch its own way of election and rules of action. It then makes the people aware that in doing this may result to inequalities within the departments. Leaving some departments weaker that other. .
It then gives examples about a republican government were the power of the government rest within the people of the states. It talks about the controversial issues that exist within a republican government. It talks about how the interests of the people can affect them in a good or bad way, depending on their status in society. It says that minorities will be left out of their rights if the votes do not favor their interests.
