Today's Advertisements generate huge profits for the companies. When a company wants to advertise its newest development, they pay an advertising firm who creates the ads and the company usually has a slogan or a theme that they want the creators to follow. The people who make the ads get paid for their work and the companies make millions and millions off of the ads. The companies want an ad that will stick in consumer's minds and persuade them to buy their product regardless whether or not the consumer needs it or not. Major companies want the next big ad or series of ads that is popular and a majority of people will buy the product simply because the ad was funny. Some of the ads use women in compromising situations to sell men the next new product that will grab a female's attention. Women do not agree with the strategies of these companies and they have decided to boycott certain products. These strategies gain some consumers but at the same time they lose some too. The companies want their slogan to be in your head when you go to the grocery store and the products are put together with their competitors, they want you as the consumer to pick theirs so they get more money.
Today's advertising market is purely dominated by sex. Sex sells because of the curiosity of the population.
