Fancy restaurants and mall shops dwelled in a organized arrangement. A word wasn"t said the whole time on that short trip to the end of the road where the scenery was even more beautiful. As I opened the door, the stranger smiled and voiced "she waits". I smiled and walked off after closing the vehicle's door.
Coins were placed on the ground leading to a restaurant. There were so many that the sunlight that was reflected off of them had almost blinded me. I squinted my eyes and peered into a restaurant that was close to being empty. One person sat on a stool. There were employees there, quite contented in manner. I walked in and now there were dollars leading up to the stool where the person's buttocks sat firmly. From the first coin to the last dollar totaled in at thirty one dollars and fifty seven cents. After I"d picked up the last dollar, the person turned around. It was an amazing face that I"d seen before. She kissed me and I kissed her back. Sparks were flying and blood was pumping. My heart was beating faster and faster, bulging out of my chest. I sat down and we began talking.
A light bulb in my head was turned on at one hundred and fifty watts. I suddenly realized that she was a past girlfriend from elementary school. Her name was Kara. Our relationship was strong in our younger years but, it fell apart when we went to different high schools and lived in different towns. We were together from fourth grade in elementary school until we reached our eighth grade graduation. We would hold hands as we walked down the school's hallways. Every weekend, we would spend time together and working on school assignments and projects. I played recreation football and she was a cheerleader for the same team that I played for. I was the star and the captain. She also was the captain of her cheerleading squad. We were living in early success. Everything we did, we did our best. .
A piece of paper was held tightly in her hand in a medium sized picture frame.
