Legalization of Marijuana


The usual most noticeable effect is intensification of sensation and increased clarity of perception. Visually colors may seem to be brighter and scenes may seem to have more depth, patterns are more easy to pick out. Other sense do not have the same variety, but all seem to be intensified. Sounds become more distinct, with the user aware of sounds he or she might not have noticed before. Taste and smell are also enhanced under marijuana. Take for example eating a chocolate bar while using marijuana may make it seem as if it tastes better but really it tastes that same as if you weren't high.
             The Senate report said that it may cause loss of short term memoire, loss of co-ordination and concentration but the effect wear off after you stop doing the drug. High doses at a time may even cause anxiety, disorientation, vomiting and even convulsion.
             It is hard to find out whether marijuana alone causes cancer because many people who smoke marijuana also smoke cigarettes and use other drugs. Marijuana smoke contains some of the same cancer-causing compounds as tobacco, sometimes in higher concentrations. Studies show that someone who smokes five joints per day may be taking in as many cancer-causing chemicals as someone who smokes a full pack of cigarettes every day. .

And I cant say I agree more why spend all your time and money trying to band a drug that people aren't going to stop using. Why spend money trying to stop something that cant be stopped and start making money from it.
             There is also the issue of marijuana being a gate way drug. Meaning that if you smoke marijuana then you are more likely to get into harder drugs such as cocaine and hereon. I do not believe this is true I think that it all depends on the person and there choices towards drugs.
