             India is a large country in Southern Asia. Its northern borders are Afghanistan, China, Nepal, and Bhutan. To the East are Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, and the Bay of Bengal. Down south there is the Gulf of Mannar, Sri Lanka, and the Indian Ocean. Actually the Geographical coordinates are 20 00N and 77 00E.

             India's physical characteristics are very strange. It has elevation changes from up to 29,000ft on the top of a mountain in the Himalayas to the shores of Malobar Coast that is at sea level.
             In the north of India there is the Himalayan region. It usually has a very cold climate all year. The strange thing about the geography of India is that you may be up in the Himalayas freezing cold, but just a few miles away there is a warm subtropical climate close. In this part of India there is only one season and is usually very cold.

             The next part of India's physical geography is the Gangetic plain. This is the central part of India. It has some of the most agriculturally productive of area of the country. The Gangetic plain has a lot of fertile soil because the land floods in the monsoon season and causes the ground to be very productive. The climate in this part of India there are three main seasons, the cool dry winter season that goes from October to March, the hot dry summers season that goes from April to June and the warm, rainy season from mid-June to September.
             .
             The last Physical part of India is peninsular India. This is wear the Deccan Plateau, The Easter and Western Ghats and the warm shores of the southern coasts of India. The Deccan Plateau is mostly made up of factories and plantations that make masses of products to sell to other countries. .
             The Eastern and Western Ghats are mountains ranges on the southern boarders, near the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. These mountains are not as high as the Himalayas. They are much smaller and aren't as jagged as the Himalayas. The southern coasts of India have extremely good soil and are made up mostly of farmers.
