Communication Synthesis Paper

Communication can be defined by some as the act of giving, especially information. To be a communicative is to be free with information. Both of these definitions describe how information is transferred from one person to another, from culture to culture, from one world to the next. The theories about this communication and how they play central roles in our lives are all limited in their ability to have relevance in our individual lives. Many of these theories can accurately examine, explain, and describe communication patterns, and methods about society in general, but can communication theories accurately, and completely explain, and examine the deeply undetectable low-level non-verbal interpersonal communication and other forms of low-level interpersonal communication such as emotional communication? Using single communication theories are less relevant to individuals because of the many complex situations an individual will experience throughout the course of their lives. Individuals will experience diverse, ever evolving experiences, and situations that will shape, and guide their lives at different stages in that life. Interpersonal communication is devised of a constant ebb and flow with the receiver of your information. Single communication theories limit the types, quantity, and quality of experiences an individual can experience by using a few broad, vague, and on the other hand, sometimes, overly complex, and descriptive parameters to describe behaviors, patterns, and methods of interpersonal communication. Interpersonal communication is much too dynamic to be limited to the confinement of a few communication theories. Interpersonal communication is not quantifiable using single communication theories. The type of communication method a person uses in communicating with another person is contingent on the person receiving the message and the person sending in the message.
