Animal Farm

Many books have been retold in movies. Sometimes movies are more exciting and sometimes books seem to be better. In the book Animal Farm the story was better than the movie. The movie seem to have been a simplified version of Orwell's Animal Farm. You could easily tell good from evil. Squealer had squinty eyes and had an evil sound voice. Orwell's Animal Farm was unpredictable and no one could have known the pigs were planning to take over Animal Farm.
The movie seemed to have just for entertainment. Showing Jones having an affair with Frederick's wife was very unnecessary. It was inappropriate for the topic of the movie. The movie was about politics not affairs between people. The book didn't have extra unneeded information. I think Orwell's way of writing Animal Farm was good not putting information for entertainment.
I didn't like the ending of the movie. Orwell had related the book to real life. He showed how horrible totalitarianism was. He also wanted to show how blindly people or animals followed their leaders or idols. The book ended by the pigs and men look and were exactly alike. The movie had the pig's reign destroyed and everyone was able to start over. They all lived happily ever after. This was only used because the movie want to please the viewers. Many times in life things just don't happen happily. For example, after the Russian communism ended they return to a democratic nation. Once the nation was democratic the economy crashed because no one knew how to live in a capitalistic world. Unfortunately not everything ends wonderfully.
In this case the book was better than the movie. .
