FLIGHT SIMULATORS AND THEIR USE AT UNIT LEVEL.

In aviation as in any dynamic environment many skills can effectively be taught and practiced in a simulated environment. Simulation may be considered advantageous through its ability to provide effective training in a more controlled environment than the real world. Additionally simulation is generally more cost effective and often less dangerous than the real situation it models. For military forces, life in combat can depend on the quality of training; often simulation affords the only practical method of combat experience.
