Reseller markets purchase products and services to resell at a profit. Government markets purchase goods and services to people who need them. Internal Markets include buyers in other countries, consumer's producers, resellers, and governments, competitive strategies work for different companies. A company must provide greater customer value and satisfaction, than its competitors do.

             Various publics can have an actual or potential impact on an organization ability to achieve its objectives. .
            
             • Financial publics- influence the company's ability to obtain funds. Media public uses news, features and editorial opinions, newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations. .
            
             • Government publics- marketers must often consult the company's lawyers on issue involving product safety, truth in advertising and other matter.
            
             • Citizen action publics- stay in touch with consumers and citizen groups.
            
             • General public- a company needs to be concerned about the general publics" attitude towards its product and activities. .
            
             • Internal public- includes workers, managers, volunteers and the board of directors.

             The demographic environment is of major interest to marketer because it involves people, and people make up markets.
