Illegal Immigration

It needs to be taken way more seriously than it is. Some immigrants did enter the country legally and have visas, but they become illegal aliens after their visas expired and they fail to leave the country when they are suppose to. When a person does illegally cross the border, there is little chance of detecting him or her and no chance of deportation.
Almost all of the immigrants coming into the U.S. are poor, uneducated people. Most are also very low-skilled and un-experienced. Because of that, they are forced to find jobs that pay very little, but more money than what that get in their home country. They usually have jobs that not many Americans living here really would want to have. For example: "Low paying, hard-working farm jobs." (1) Some Americans would not hire others Americans because they believe that they can find an illegal immigrant to do the same job, but for very smaller wages. They know that doing so will save the employer a sum of money.
Illegal immigrants cost the U.S. billions of dollars each year. It is estimated that about 250,000 - 300,000 immigrants successfully enter the United States illegally each and every year. (2) In California, immigrants cost alone more than 18 billion dollars a year. California currently has an estimated 300,000 illegal immigrants now attending grades' K-12. (3) This will cost the California taxpayers an estimated 1.5 billion dollars. Ten percent of the students currently enrolled in our elementary schools today are illegal aliens. California has 49.8 percent of the countries illegal aliens; therefore, California pays multiple costs for its borders and keep people that looking to improve their way of life out of our country. .
The illegal immigrants cause our economy to be depleted of useful and qualified individuals. Illegal immigrants take jobs and opportunities away from some qualified Americans. With the jobs given to the immigrants, the same job could have been offered and given to a qualified homeless person.
