Leadership is a talent in which many people wish they had but very few possess. Those who possess it were blessed with an innate ability to lead others fairly and righteously. Only one out of many can truly play the role of being a leader. Though there are a lot of people who try, very few are successful in leadership. Many factors can cause people to criticize your leadership, therefore one must be fair towards the people who they lead.
A natural born leader is a person who does not follow others, but instead walks his own path for others to follow. For example, lets say you came to a fork in the road and everyone before you went left because they were afraid to go right. YOU come along and go right and everyone else after YOU follows suit because YOU came along and eliminated their fear to go right. This is what you call leadership; when you make others follow you.
One of the main keys to good leadership is fairness because failure to do so will result in bad leadership and criticism from people you lead, who may imply that you treat them unfair. One must also lead by example in order for good leadership. Anything that you, the leader, does will reflect in the actions of the people you lead. Lets say that you are the leader in your close circle of friends. Everything that your group does will be done based on your decisions, whether it is good or bad. .
Leadership has a lot of pressure that must be carried by you. Through leadership, you carry the weight of many people on your shoulders. If you do something good, you will receive recognition but you will also be blamed if you do something bad. Every decision you make is a critical one because others will follow you, so make sure your ready to play the role of leader.
Leadership should not be taken lightly and one must be prepared to go through good times and bad times. If you feel you can live up to the high expectations of leadership, than you should be a leader.
