Career Naritive

            
             After carefully studying my interests, skills, and experiences; I have decided that my first career choice is to become a Trauma Surgeon. I know that I would be the right person for this type of career because I would like to help a person when they are hurt or sick. Most jobs in this field would be in hospitals which is a environment I would enjoy. I am quick at learning new things so wanting to be a surgeon will not be hard for me to be.
             I have already taken steps to achieve my goal. For the last two years of my high school experience I have been in the thematic program at John Hay high school which is a special program for students who inspire to be in the medical field. We spent time working in the Cleveland clinic to try and help me narrow my career choices. This experience also helped me decide on the high school courses I would need to take to become prepared to enter a program in this field. I have had the opportunity to job-shadow in this area, and I am looking forward to going to college and learning more.
             I will need to do more before reaching my goal. To achieve my goal I must have four years of schooling and earn a certificate and a degree. I will also need a license and to pass the appropriate examinations. I will start my course of study at a four year college and work my way from their. I will need to make some college visits to determine the best course of action for me.
             If my first plan does not work for me, I would like to become a psychologist. I want to help people in any career I go into, but this career will not only help the patient, but it will also assist people detect their problems. Most psychologist work in clinics and in special offices.
             I have already taken steps to achieve this goal by spending three years in the thematic program. This program helped me find the careers that were as close as the real career that I want to be in. I have adjusted my high school courses so that I would have a background in the field that I want to be in.
