Foreign Aid Helping?

Foreign aid programs that deal with hunger, don't really deal with the heart of the problem. They just deal with the skin layer of it. Although they put a lot of money, time, and effort into helping the hungry, it is not that effective because they mostly deal with symptoms rather than cause. When I mention that I mean that they focus on famine, and famine is just the tip of the iceberg. People that suffer from famine, it is just another symptom of hunger. Another problem is that often- tied aid is set to a number of conditions. So lets say if I were to lend a poor man some money, then I could tell that man: in order for him to receive my money he has to do something for me, like give me his jacket, which isn't really fair. The last problem that will be discussed is "there are too many political motives in bilateral aid, affects how food aid gets distributed and the governments also "helps- out on "helping solve hunger-.
Whenever you see commercials on television about the starving people around the world, you always hear them use the word famine. Now famine is just a symptom of hunger, hunger is the big picture. So instead of them dealing with the big problem they are running around and trying to get your help with the several little problems. Famine is a serious matter and thousands upon thousands suffer from it everyday. Here is the funny part. So you ask your self "why isn't the problem getting solved if so much is being put into it? Well that is because thousands of people are entering into the stages of famine everyday, because not enough help is put towards those people. We give famine people aid until they are fine again and then in a year or so, back into the famine stage they go. Obviously the aid programs need to go where they are really need, instead of putting all their food aid in all the wrong problems. "If you pick out the root, then the weed won't grow back-.
