While I was playing field hockey my family always supported and encouraged me to do my best. My mom, who showed up to every single one of my games, put a lot of time and effort into me. She"d be there for the wins and the losses and always cheered me on. My mom was very involved in my life during the time I was playing sports. She made sure I got to every place I needed to be, paid for all my camps, and made sure I was happy. My sisters would always help me out if there something I needed work on and would practice out in the yard with me if I wanted. My family was always there and helped me out. They"d make sure I was doing well in school, because they knew how much I loved the game and if wasn't passing then I wouldn't be able to play. I think field hockey helped me to better in school and stay focused. I also think playing field hockey and being part of a team definitely helped me developed great relationships throughout high school. My best friends through out school I met while playing field hockey. I love the girls I played with and could never have found better friends or teammates. I think playing on the same team helped us become that much closer to each other. When I think back to some of the long bus rides to a game, I remember all the good laughs we had with each other and I miss that. I guess it"ll always be a part of my life no one can take away from me. There will always be memories of playing that will stick with me forever.
Some of my most key moments while playing field hockey is playing in my first varsity game, winning districts, and beating our big rival. I still remember how nervous I was when I stepped out on the field during my first varsity game. It was a big thing for me and I was excited and anxious, but the fact of playing against older, more experienced girls made me nervous. It was a big thing for me I think because I knew that it meant I was good and getting better and it's something everyone can't wait for.
