Human Cloning

For example, an American couple panned to pay $500,000 to Las Vegas based Clonaid for a clone of their deceased infant daughter ("Bonosor"). When human cloning does come to existence there are many scenarios where the use of human cloning could be helpful. Scientist believe they may be able to treat heart attack victims by cloning their healthy heart cells and injecting them into the areas of the heart that has been damaged ("Smith") Cloning would have a great affects on the advancement in today's modern medicine.
             Another form of human cloning is therapeutic cloning which is the process by which a persons DNA is used to grow and embryonic clone ("Bosonor") Therapeutic cloning is helpful in which they can grow replacements organs such as hearts, livers and skin. Therapeutic cloning can also be used to grow neurons to cure those who suffer from Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or Rett Syndrome (Bosonor.) If there are laws that are passed to end the process of human cloning there would never be a chance to see and understand what cloning could do in the medical industry. .
             There has been controversy over cloning human embryos. The problem was that they were growing the fetuses and then discarding them (Doheny.) The technology should only be used to clone human embryonic stem cells not an actual pregnancy (Doheny.) A statement has been released concerning the issue of discarding the fetuses. It stated that is was appropriate to discard animal fetuses, but never acceptable in human research (Doheny.).
             The whole cloning process is a long a difficult one. "Cloning refers to copying genes and other pieces of chromosomes to generate enough identical material for further study. Two other types of cloning produce complete, genetically identical animals. Blastomere separation (sometimes called "twinning" after the naturally occurring process that creates identical twins) involves splitting a developing embryo soon after fertilization of the egg by a sperm (sexual reproduction) to give rise to two or more embryos.
