Time Management

It is important to set priorities, because they will help you focus on your plans and allow you to accomplish your most important goals. Your priorities should reflect your personal goals as well as your business ones.
There are five life areas that affect the choices that you make. They all represent the fundamental areas of life. The first one is family. This would include marriage, having children and how many, where to live, and changing your relationship with your parents. The second one is personal. This would be to figure out who you are and who you want to be, if you want to eat right, what kind of friends you want, and working out. The third one is school/career. This would include working for your diploma, enjoying where you are currently work, owning your own business, moving up from where you are in your current position, or changing where you are now. The fourth one is financial. Are you currently making enough money, have enough savings, too many bills, and living comfortable. The last one is lifestyle, which is what area you want to live in, what type of housing, people in the neighborhood or in your house, morals, ethics, and what you want to do on your own time. The importance of evaluating these categories of life is allowing you to bring into scope all the aspects to be considered. .
One of the most important tools in time management is having a planner or a date book. Planners can come in a two ways: daily or weekly; however, they both will show you a view of the month. I would suggest getting a daily planner that has one page per day and the hours of the day. That way you can schedule time for meetings, appointments, etc. A daily planner allows you to keep track of all your short-term goals; however, when scheduling your short time goals, be sure they are working towards your long-term goals. Once you have prioritized you goals you want to incorporate these goals into the daily planner.
