The Foundation Of Science

            Nothing has more dramatically shaped the experience of modernity than with the scientific revolution. It changed the way that people saw the world around them. The period was composed of philosophical apprehension, complexity in mathematical pondering, and astronomical assumptions. Jardine marks on particular scientists, theologians, mathematicians as well as astronomers who helped compel the future of the scientific revolution. .
             Through imaginative misunderstandings and sudden opportunities, the scientific revolution gave way to the inspired creativity of individual people. People such as Edmond Halley observed his once infamous comet of 1682 that was thought to destroy the world. The mathematical calculations presented themselves through famous mathematicians and astronomers like Isaac Newton, John Flamsteed as well as Henry Oldenburg, and helped aid the minds of distraught countrymen.              Clever inventions sprang up one after another taking place in established settings such as the Royal Observatory at Greenwich and the Royal Society. Telescopes helped launch the understanding of time. Clocks created the essence of time being able to be looked at instead of estimated from the sun. The balance spring watch became a popular item in the age of reason. Jardine helps show that many of the inventions created in the past, have advanced to today. .
             From the moment that the comets arrived in the early stages of what we now call the enlightenment, there was a change in the world through the eyes of those viewers. Science helped find an understanding thus, bringing many ideas that circulated and advanced through time.
