Ski Trip

We were travelling to a Hotel in a small town outside of Munich. The last two hours of the trip I listened to music while simply watching the road pass by and staring at the people in other cars. .
When we entered the town it took no more than 2 minutes to reach the Hotel, which was the town centre, making it very small. As we walked in we were welcomed by an elderly, slightly gravitationally challenged woman. She led us to our rooms which were maybe not large in size but comfy and adequate for our one night stay. As it was still mid afternoon, my parents went for a walk as I dosed off slightly watching German cartoons. I was woken by my parents return, from what they said was a walk through a beautiful and elegant village. I took no real interest in this and went downstairs to search for some sort of entertainment. Bored stiff when I didn't find anything I went upstairs to watch television until dinner.
As we went down for a dinner drink the rest of the crowd started arriving. We were around 20 people going on this trip, all in our separate transportation. The first to arrive after us where some unknown people to us but a younger couple with two smaller children, age perhaps 5, and 8, both girls. As we sat down to a pre-dinner drink the joined us. Exhausted, they explained, after leaving only an hour later than us but arriving 4 hours afterwards. Only because of cues. We decided not to wait for the other three families as it was getting late. It was about 7:30 when we started to order food from the Hotel restaurant. Then as we sipped our whine and beer the usual talks came up about, who does what, where people come from, and so on. I certainly participated in this, but found it utterly dull. Joyed to see our food arrive, we also noticed another car pulling into the parking lot. It was the next family. These we had been friends with for years, and I especially with the son who is my age. When they came in we all stood and greeted them and sat down again to eat our food as they unloaded their baggage in their rooms.
