I believe that all the people who a person interacts with every day leave a trace in one’s mind and influence some aspect of his or her personality. What is more, some people have such vivid characters, that just one meeting with them is enough to leave a strong impact. I have met many different and interesting people who have played important roles in helping me shape my personality and who have even caused significant changes in my life. For this reason, it is hard for me to choose a single person who has had an important influence on me. I can think of one person, however, who has impacted my life in the most positive way ÂEmy friend Gina. For the two years that I have known her, other than becoming one of my best friends, she managed to make me reconsider my values, the way I view myself, and the way I perceive life in general. .
One of the main characteristics that a person first notices in Gina is her unique sense of humor. She creates the impression that she perceives everything as a joke ÂEherself, other people, and the world as a whole. This is the reason everybody loves her ÂEit feels so much easier and more pleasant to be around someone who is always in a good mood and never complains about her own problems. This attitude towards life really influenced me. I learned from Gina how to look at the good side even of my problems, how to be optimistic and positive about everything I do or I have to do. This included my relationship with people ÂEGina made me realize the importance of being open-minded when I interact with other people, of accepting them the way they are, and trying to find something I like about everybody in order to create a pleasant experience for both sides.
Before one thinks about relationship with others, however, one needs to think about himself or herself. In this sense, Gina also helped me reconsider the way I viewed myself. Before I met her, I had always looked at myself too seriously and too critically.
