Change has occurred the Industrial Arbitration Amendment Act 1958 ruled that where applicable, equal pay was to be phased in by 1963. At last a change occurred and women could expect to be paid the same as men for doing the same job. Next came the fight for equal job opportunities. There was a Sex discrimination Act in 1984, followed two years later by the affirmative Action (Equal Employment Opportunity for Women) Act. I believe that the change has had a lack in progress for women today in Australia .to be living in such modernized society With so much political and legal support we shouldn’t still be asking ourselves why is it that women still earn considerably less than men? Technically women should be treated the same.

This affects my experience as an individual because in the future I strongly believe that women should be equal for if women don’t rise to the top soon this can end up as a downfall in the future and that can only happen if we don’t take more of a punt on gi
