Nursing started out as a career that was based on a collection of specific skills trained to do specific tasks, but with broad advances in facts and technology, Nursing has evolved into a profession where nurses work to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illnesses. A nurse fill’s the needs of a patient, which cannot be met by either a family member or any other member of their community. Nursing is a helping profession, which provides services that contribute to the health care and well being of the patient. The nursing career was once considered as just an aid but it is now known as vital and crucial part of the health care system.
