The militia then retreated into the woods to avoid the British fire. Now, why would have the British started firing for no apparent reason, they must have fired upon a shot from opposing side ... ten, while they themselves lost one soldier. This was when one shot fired, after they ordered nobody to fire and for the Americans to drop their weapons. Once the first shot was fired, it was a volley of shots going back and forth....
