Johnson et al, in their publication, described a cooperative condition as one in which, "an individual can attain his goal if and only if the individual with whom he is linked can attain his.... As enumerated earlier, students see their colleagues as hindrances to their success and rather than cooperating to achieve a goal, they tend to be divided between themselves. ... Great minds with similar goals and passions could be identified to achieve greater and more qualified common goal because, "students succeed in spite of competition, not because of it," (Kohn, 1987)....
