The Man who would be King, by Rudyard Kipling is a story of corruption of the mind. After reading The Heart of Darkness and hearing the story of Kurtz reading of Daniel Dravot certainly has its similarities. I don't believe Dravot ... for his actions as the locals came closer. Brought you out of your happy life to be killed in Kafiristan Say you forgive me," (Kipling 140) I believe Dravot resembles more of the "average" person, before his corruption.
