War in Iraq

Each nation has its own very precise opinion of what should and should not be done in the war against terrorism. Each of these nations also looks at the United States and either condemns its actions or commends it. .
As far as the United States government is concerned, the war that is going on in Iraq can be entirely justified. We feel as though Saddam Hussein is a ruthless leader who needs to be removed from power. He signed a treaty 12 years ago under President Bush saying that he would not build or attempt to build any nuclear weapons. He is in violation of that agreement in that we know he has been building these weapons and will continue to do so. All President Bush asks for is total and complete disarmament, but Saddam refuses to do so. United Nations investigators have found that Iraq has Anthrax and other bio-chemicals that they have not destroyed after proclaiming they have . He is doing atrocious things to the people in his own nation by testing chemical warfare on them. He also is harming the people living north of him. In 1988, he exposed mustard gas and sarin to the Kurds, leaving men, women, and children alike to die in the streets, unable to breath. Also, Saddam has been known to outwardly commend Osama Bin Laden for his work on September 11. Finally, the US government feels that we should strike before we"re struck again. Why wait for another attack? This preemptive action is the reason we are now over seas fighting a war against Iraq.
On the other hand, the Iraqi people are split in half concerning Americas involvement in their country. Some feel that the US needs to remove Saddam from power. He is a destructive leader that doesn't protect any of his citizen's rights. But on the reverse side, just as many Iraqi's feel that the US needs to mind their own business. As far as they"re concerned, the US is just coming into their country and destroying it.
