Foreign aid can strengthen health care systems, invest more in prevention of diseases, help train health care workers, and improve access to basic education for both boys and girls. This help from Canada provides a secure, better future for children. The truth is developing countries don`t have the money to focus on education or health care. Canadian foreign aid provides sustainable economic growth for a developing country. A growing economy creates jobs and higher incomes which provide governments with more financial resources to improve the well-being of their people. The Canadian government provides opportunity and experience that helps governments of developing countries create and grow their economies and provide better opportunities for their citizens. Canadian foreign aid helps third world countries develop which gives the citizens of these countries a chance to live a normal life and not have to worry about fighting to survive every day. .
             As a developed country and a member of the United Nations it is Canada`s moral obligation to provide foreign aid to developing countries. The purpose slash definition of the United Nations is to bring all nations of the world together to work for peace and development, based on the principles of justice, human dignity and the well-being of all people. As part of this organization it is Canada`s role to follow and contribute to the rules and beliefs of the United Nations. Canada was one of the first countries to join the United Nations in 1945 and since then Canada has been a part of every major peacekeeping and foreign aid operation. Being one of the most powerful countries out of the 193 that make up the United Nations it is Canada`s leading role and responsibility to provide foreign aid to developing countries.
