France and the Burgeois Revolution

 

            France became the strongest and the most powerful state of the Europe at the end of 30-years war, but England remained the strongest naval state. England was a parliamentary monarchy where was not dominant absolutism as in France. They started to deal with overseas (United States of America). They traded mainly with wool which that was in high quality, respectively woolen materials. The growth of production of wool in the sixteenth through seventeenth centuries caused problems. The soil was occupying especially for grazing sheep and many farmers lost their grounds. Amount of wool was growing and it caused that started to create manufactory because craftsmen were not able to processed the wool in guild. Affluent citizens, owners of manufactories, businessmen and financiers were getting rich from this prosperous trade. This is the beginning of the bourgeoisie. We can understand it The Bourgeoisie is the middle class, typically with reference to its perceived materialistic values or conventional attitudes.
             New economic situation had a big influence on the parliament. Lower house includes representatives of townspeople Upper chamber includes representatives of aristocracy (nobility) and in this time the lower house acquired greater importance than the upper chamber. In 1603 new dynasty on English throne. The dynasty of Stuarts (Stewarts) – James I. He became the king of England after death of Elizabeth I.The dynasty of Stuarts ruled in Scotland and in Ireland, too. They tried according the model of european countries introduced absolutism without respect of the parliament .
             James I. was a really strange man. He loved haunting. If he was not the part of this entertainment he was sad and annoying. When James was in the forest he forgot the whole world. He wasted money and his time on hunting. Especially his behavior was really strange in situation he killed the deer during haunting. It is said he jumped off the horse, cut the throat and anointed faces of courtiers with the blow of the deer.
