Football

Football has been watched for a long time. It originated from rugby, back in 1869. And now it has become a famous, fun, all-around-American sport. People play for many reasons. Some are personal, while others are professional. Football is a very useful sport.
First, it is good for a job. Some people may argue against this, saying things like it's a waste of time, the fame will get to you, and you won't have any privacy. But this isn't true. Football isn't a waste of time, and it gives you good pay. In fact, some of the top players in the National Football League get paid over $1.5 million. That's more than most doctors make in a year. And if football is something you really enjoy, then it could be a great career for you. Some think that football causes injuries or influences violence. But there is no reason to play rough. All you have to do is play according to the rules. You don't have to play only pro-football. Playing football during high school and earlier years look good on college applications. It prepares you for college football if that's a goal for you. As some think, college football doesn't distract players from school. You must maintain a certain grade to keep playing. If you are failing any classes or not maintaining this grade, you"re off the team. If college football isn't what you want, football may help in preparing you for other sports like soccer and basketball.
Second, football teaches some very important things. Yes, some may think what can it teach?? All you do is run around, tackling each other for a strip of leather. But, this isn't the case. In fact, it teaches things like teamwork. You need to work as a team to get that final touchdown. Work together and get that extra inch for a first down. Along with teamwork, you learn cooperation. You must cooperate with your coaches and fellow team members to achieve your goal. And as a team, you have one goal, to win. So with the determination and perseverance, as a team, you can make it.
