Overview of Communication

 

            In this essay I will explain the different ways people communicate. Communication is exchanging of information by speaking, writing, and body language. It also includes specialist ways of communicating for when someone can't speak, are deaf, or don't speak the language. The communication cycle is the six step cycle to help enhance what a person is trying to say. Technology is a part of communication because people show, tell their ideas and what they are doing and much more, it's also good for long distances. People communicate to express their ideas, thoughts, to meet new people, learn about others and express themselves including their opinions. I will explain the different types of communication that people use, as well as discussing their positive and negative consequences. The different types of communications are verbal, non-verbal, written, and specialist, I will explain what they consist of and how important they are. .
             The first type of communication I am going to explain is verbal. This consists of clarity, tone, pace, empathy, and paraverbal skills. All of these are a type of speech. Verbal skills are used all the time due to the need to express emotions, feeling and emotions. Humans are social creatures, we need social interaction to develop properly. It's nearly impossible to go through a day without the use of communication. Communication is sending and receiving information between two or more people. The person sending the message is referred to as the sender, while the person receiving the information is called the receiver. The information can include facts, ideas, concepts, opinions, beliefs, attitudes, instructions and even emotions. .
             Clarity is how clearly someone speaks. Clarity is how much can the person speaking be understood. It is important to speak clearly because failing to do that, the audience may not understand the person and loose interest in what they are saying, they may misunderstand which can cause problems.
