If humans believed that being homosexual is innate, homosexuals would be treated differently. Many homosexuals have died and are being discriminated for something that they cannot change. Media has had a huge contribution to the degradation of homosexuals by portraying them as sexual misfits. Homosexuals were always portrayed negatively on the media but within these last couple of generations we have been able to bring an awareness about this lifestyle. Education, Age, and gender are the control variables used because these variables might change the patterns of the belief of homosexuality being a choice or not and religion. First education as a control is very important because we can see if there is a change in ideologies with an increase of years of education. Controlling for age is important because younger people think totally different than older people.
