What is the theory of evolution? Well it can be said in many words what the theory of evolution is. But the whole thought behind the theory of evolution is that human beings opposed to being created by God, had evolved from apes over a period of time. This theory was developed by Charles Darwin, and supposedly the whole thing started while he was on a voyage and saw the different types of animals and saw gradual changes in the wildlife that allowed them to survive. Darwin then came up with the theory of Natural Selection, which is defined as the survival of the fittest. Seeing that animals adapted to there given environment Darwin believed that certain animals were given enhancements in their being in order to survive.
This theory has been around for a long time and is really the basis of science as we know it, now whether or not people believe it or not is a whole other story. There are many people that take this theory for truth and that evolution is the reason that we are all here today. There are others that look at this theory as ridiculous, and believe that God or some higher power created human beings and that is why we are here today. I can see how some one may look at both evolution and religion as being far fetched. I don't say that in disrespect to anyone's belief because it is a persons beliefs, whether it religion or science, that makes you the person that you are, but picture this scenario. One day you meet a person on the street and this person is completely clueless in the ways of the world especially science and religion. Now lets say you took it upon yourself to try and teach this person about how we came to be in this world through the theory of evolution. Then you try to teach them what religion has come to teach us. Now remember that this person has no clue about religion or Darwin's theory of evolution. Which do you think this person would except as truth?.
