To wear A&F or Not to Wear A&F?

I am a college student at Sacramento State University. I guess I can say that I am a normal eighteen year old, and I believe that I am in style, or even trendy if you would like to be technical. I wear a variety of clothing brands, but one in particular. You can even look at me, and spot something from that particular store everyday. I think that is somewhat sad but, I enjoy what I wear and the appearance of that particular brand. This brand that I am talking about is, Abercrombie and Fitch. Almost everyone I know has at least one thing from that store, and more than often my friends carry almost everything in their closet from that store. But why is this brand flooding my closet? Better yet, why is this brand flooding American teenagers wardrobes? Sometimes, I take a look at the things I buy from there and think, why am I buying things with holes in them, and jeans that look like they are ten years old? Truthfully, I didn't really have many answers for these actions of myself and many others, but I set out to find more out about this brand that sucks you in.
I figured I would start at the source, the store. I walked in and actually took a good look around the store, this was odd, when I usually walk in I go straight for the things I want and am in and out. This time was different, I looked at the people that were shopping and who was their sales associates. Something, that I noticed right away was that everyone who was working there, had to have the perfect "Abercrombie image." What I mean by that, is they were dressed .
head to toe in Abercrombie, and looked like they were straight out of the Abercrombie catalog. I .
was offered a job on the spot one day, when i came in dressed all in Abercrombie. .
I also noticed that all of the shoppers, were mostly teenagers, ranging from about sixteen to twenty-two years of age. What else was also surprising to me, was the fact that most of the shoppers were Caucasian.
