Yeah that is true she said, then without a blink of the eye she typed out," Dude how about Mexico"? At first I was dumbfound by her message. What did she mean by Mexico? Then the little light bulb lit up in my head lit up as it had already done so in hers. Since we only lived about half an hour an away from Mexico it seemed liked the perfect chance to get together and buy some inexpensive alcohol. Yeah, I exclaimed that would be really fun and since we were all eighteen their wouldn't be a problem purchasing the bottles. So, it was decided later on that day we would all meet at my house and drive over to the border together. I was so excited about going and seeing my friends again that I couldn't sleep for hours, but before I knew it there was my piercing alarm ringing in my right ear. The knock on my door came around 11:30 my friends and I could already feel the effects of the scorching heat. We decided to go purchase the alcohol, maybe get a bite to eat and then head home. Before we knew it the large billboard appeared in front of us welcome to Mexico it said. Since Laura and April were still tired from the night before we made it a point to stop at the first liquor store we set our eyes on after crossing the border. It had only been a few minutes after we arrived and already did we have enough alcohol to last us the rest of the summer. Our moral was high and it was exciting being in another country all together, that we forgot about the hurry and decided to shop around. We all purchased little souvenirs to look as if we were tourists just coming to visit, when in reality it was to blind sight the officers. When we finally felt we had spent enough time in Mexico, we made our way back to the car where we carefully placed all the bottles under the backseats. We all seemed rather calm sneaking over the bottles since it had been done before, but something did not feel right about that day.
