September 11th

Should September eleventh be a holiday?.
Everybody's world changed on September 11, 2001.That day, people had to face reality. A country's religion crushed America. Should this horrible event turn into a day out of school/work? Why would we get out? We will remember this forever, but we need to remember it correctly.
Most people celebrate and day off of school or work as a holiday. September eleventh was NOT a holiday. Thousands of people died and America's World Trade Center's are gone. As they fell, America's pride grew. Unfortunately, our population didn't. It was a day of tragedy that hurt America and will stay will us for all time.
If anything, it should be a day of remembrance. We should take that day to remember all who died and the people who were trying to save the people who were dying. We shouldn't get a day off school because it will turn to a day of celebration. There is no reason to celebrate a day of tragedy.
If it becomes a day of remembrance, and we still go to school, America should do work and put up signs to remember the day. The students would do worksheets about September eleventh and the people who died. At a certain time, everybody would say the pledge, and wear America's colors. By doing so, people will remember the event correctly and will not be saying it is a holiday.
In conclusion, September eleventh should not be a day out of school. It should be a day of remembrance. On this day, we should remember, not celebrate. Americans should honor heroes, not terrorism.
