A simple proof that the earth and the moon are relatively young is found when scientists look at the recession of the moon from the earth. According to Scott M. Huse in The Collapse of Evolution, "The present rate of the recession of the moon is known and clearly indicates a young earth-moon system"(97-98). A large problem that evolutionists have to deal with is that the moon is much to close to the earth for the time line which they prescribe. According to John Montgomery in Evidence for Faith, " Calculations based on the known recession speed of the moon and the presumed evolutionary age of 4 to 5 billion years require the moon should be much farther away from the earth than it is" (95). Clearly, the earth-moon system is not as old as evolutionary scientists have assumed. .
The geologic column is what scientists hold dearly when arguing for piecemeal evolution. The column is supposed to contain thirteen different levels or strata. According to William J. Cairney in Evidence for Faith, "The geologic column is an ideal series of geologic systems, and not an actual column of rocks that can be observed" (127). No where in the world does the geological column actually occur. When scientists assigned dates to the different strata, they presumed evolution to be true. Scientist grouped what are believed to be less complex fossils on the bottom strata and more complex fossils in the top strata. For example, we believe that dinosaurs and humans did not exist at the same time. This is not in accord with recent findings that Scott M. Huse states in The Collapse of Evolution. He states, "The existence of contemporaneous human and dinosaur footprints have been in Mexico, New Mexico, Arizona, Missouri, Texas, Kentucky, and Illinois" (62). Pictographs found on !.
cave walls in Arizona and Rhodesia contain what appear to be dinosaurs. Many other proofs can be cited. All of this is not in accord with the present geologic column that has dinosaurs coming and dying before man could observe these magnificent beasts.
