Descriptive Essay

My parents spoke to him, signed some papers, and started to leave without me. There was nothing I could do. It was a beautiful sunny day that day, so at least I was comfortable. I was taken by the man in the uniform into a big room, an empty room, and was left there alone. Shortly after, the man in the uniform came in with another man, and they gave me something to swallow. It did not have a distinct taste to it, but I remember it tasting a little sour, very unlike the food that my stepparents usually gave me. Soon after, I recall feeling much better, not cranky at all, and was taken outside. To my delight, my adoptive parents were waiting for me outside and they seemed to be happy too. .
             We continued on with our trip, and I felt great. We arrived in California the next day. The weather was sunny, blue sky, the smell of fresh air, and the sun was wonderfully warm. As we drove on the freeway I saw signs that read "To Disneyland". I heard so much about Disneyland, and I hoped so much that we would go there, however, we passed right by all the signs and continued on for about two hours. The soft wind blowing, the sun shining on me, and the smell of roses were everywhere. We entered a city called Pasadena. There were so many people, parents and kids, and I finally figured out that we were at a parade. It was a parade of roses. I couldn't see much, I just stood in the same spot for hours, and I was not really having a good time. We stayed in California for another few days and then we went for the long drive back. I could not wait to get back home. We have a nice big house, a huge driveway, and a big yard. I remember when I was nine years old; my adoptive parents built me my very own big room with a big door and two big windows. They even had heat in the room so during the winter season I was nice and warm. The only thing I did not like about my room was that it had too much junk in it because my parents also kept it as a storage place.
