As a University of Phoenix student, I have several goals I would like to accomplish. My main objective is to broaden my overall knowledge of computers as I work toward my degree in Information Technology. Secondly, I want to apply the knowledge I have gained in my studies to excel my work ethic and leadership skills. Thirdly, in addition to completing a degree with the University of Phoenix I hope to complete my Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator certifications. I am excited to be working towards these goals and am determined to make these goals a reality.
With extended knowledge of computers and networks, broadening my overall knowledge of computers makes perfect sense. In the past I have worked jobs that have not been particularly gratifying. However, coming home and working with computers gave me a sense of purpose and accomplishment. Learning about new technologies and watching technology advance has always excited me, but until now actually working in the technology industry seemed to only be a dream. Having the opportunity to attend classes with others who have the same interest is helping me make my dream a reality. With a broader, more advanced knowledge of computers and networks I hope to obtain an Information Technology job close to home. Ultimately I would like to work at Stennis Space Center and continue this life-long learning process that I have just begun. Broadening my knowledge base of computers and networks I believe is the first step in my drive to securing a gratifying position in the workforce. .
Once completing my course work at the University of Phoenix, my second goal is to be in a position to apply what I have learned and excel ethically in workforce through learned leadership skills. In today's society it is difficult to find good leaders who value ethics. In the process of completing my Information Technology degree, I hope to gain better communication skills, more self confidence, and a better understanding of life in general.
