The Health Effects of Caffeine

Caffeine is a stimulant for your brain and the right amount has been proven to make you more focused, remember more efficiently and become more organised, It has also been proven to reverse the effects of Alzheimer's and lower vulnerability to diseases such as prostate cancer, according to Dr John Doulliard
And www.today.com says that it can even raise alertness and athletic power for a short period of time, "but" Dr Doulliard says "When the buzz wears off you should not drink more coffee to bring it back, as caffeine is the leading cause of extreme insomnia today". It has also been proven, and warned to many people by nutritionists and professional trainers, that caffeine can destroy you adrenal gland, (the gland the produces adrenaline). Without adrenaline our body fatigues faster and we can't work as hard as we usually would.
Caffeine isn't only found in beverages and consumables. Pure caffeine powder is also available to the public and is also easy to find and buy legally. But big organisations such as the FDA issued a warning following the deaths of 18 year old Logan James Steiner and 24 year old James Wade Sweatt. James was a recently married university student who after consuming just two teaspoons of pure caffeine powder (equivalent to 70 500ml cans of Red Bull), fell into a coma and died. James was a promising athlete and prom king who, just days from graduation consumed 3 teaspoons of caffeine powder (equivalent to 115 500ml cans of Red Bull) and was found dead in his room. This prompted Michael Linda, director of FDA' centre for food safety and applied nutrition to say: "I cannot say strongly enough how important it is to avoid using powdered pure caffeine," it is extremely unusual for the FDA to issue such a stern warning like this, which tells you how seriously powdered caffeine must be taken. If more students abuse this nutritional product, which should not be used in the first place, then many more people will die and more sorrow will arise.
