In fact, due to extensive research on music and its benefits on the human mind and soul, music has an increased significance in the world today, other than its existing ones. Without music, this world- where every second has a value equivalent to a million years, would have been unbearable for survival! It has been found out that early musical training in children help to develop their brains faster, especially in areas of language and reasoning. It is believed that the human brain keeps developing even years after birth. It has been discovered that listening to music develops the left side of the brain-known for reasoning and processing language. It also develops the interaction between the left and right sides of the brain, thus synchronizing analyzing skills (left side) and the memorizing skills (right side). If some new information is linked to music before learning, then it is easily imprinted on the brain, especially the young brains. A recent study conducted by the AMC (American Music Conference) has cited that students learning music get better grades. This is because, the thought patterns developed in our brain on hearing music, also helps in developing our language, mathematics and social skills, and also helps us when we put our thinking caps on. Some studies also claim that students learning music along with academics tend to score better in standardized tests like SAT. The 'Mozart Effect' is another conclusion drawn by scientists after researches which correlate music and studies. This famous notion demonstrates that, when students are exposed to classical music, specifically to that of the Mozart piano sonata, enhances the points in the Stanford-Binet IQ test from eight to nine!
