            OVERVIEW OF THE CONTEMPORARY BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT.
             The business environment is in a constant state of change and complexity. In this changing environment, however, I feel that it has become increasingly important for managers to step outside of the cookie cutter mold of what they think a manager should be and be proactive and willing to change. Flexibility is the key to success in today's business environment - remaining stagnant and managing per the status quo is simply bad business sense. The need to set a good example for employees and to train them to do their best is always present in such a turbulent working environment, Managers must, therefore, stay attuned to the world outside of their company as well as the goings-on within in order to promote efficiency and effectiveness in their subordinates. .
             PREVIEW OF MY THREE CHARACTERISTICS. .
             Effective managers set a positive example for their employees. I feel that in order to do so managers should be diligent in their work and consistent yet flexible. By showing employees their strong work ethic and having confidence in their decisions, good managers will show that they are accountable for their actions and will motivate others to act accordingly. This hard working attitude should be spread to other employees through extensive training programs designed to ensure employee success. These training programs should also include leadership and team based learning in order to foster healthy relationships between managers and their subordinates as well as among employees. After each employee completes this training, an exemplary manager should provide feedback to each employee. Without appraising each employees training and development and then providing them with feedback there is no way to improve workplace improvement. .
             II. YOU AREN"T A COOKIE, STEP OUT OF THE MOLD.
             Good managers are not easy to come by. Every day the business world gets a bit more complex and managing becomes a more and more difficult task.
