Cloning

Quick, you were just in an accident and you severely damage your heart and destroy a few vital organs, what do you do? If cloning were possible the doctors could have opened up a freezer get some of your cloned organs and quickly piece you back together. Cloning is a very controversial subject; there are many advantages as there are disadvantages to cloning. Though many may argue that cloning is something we should stay away from I totally disagree. I believe that cloning or new discoveries from cloning will eventually outweigh the disadvantages of cloning such as ethical questions.
First on the list let us discuss the advantages of cloning. Aside from organs, there has been many research field of cloning that will help millions of people. It could be possible to get rid of lethal disease you contracted or even genetic diseases. People who could not use their legs can finally walk on their own. Using cloning techniques people could actually replace parts of themselves to repair damage that has been done. Leukemia, incompatible organ transplants will no longer exist. Endangered species such as tigers and pandas will grow and prosper. Couples who cannot have children will be finally blessed with the ability to have their own child. Want to ask Einstein a question? Clone him and ask. Cloning would usher a new era in science and the possibilities are infinite.
Now let us take a look at some exciting discoveries thanks to cloning. Stem cell research is currently being studied by many scientists and it things look very promising. No living thing is really harmed or killed in stem cell research, nothing extreme like killing of your own clone. Stem cells can help alter your genes, to battle genetic diseases or birth defects for example. Stem cell research has the most potential in gene therapy, for people who already have genetic problems. Stem cell research could be an alternative to cloning.
