Breast Cancer

The ducts lead to the nipple that caps the center of the areola, the darker center region of the breast. The lymph vessels on the breast carry a fluid called lymph. This fluid contains white blood cells to the lymph nodes, the small rounded masses of lymphatic tissue. The lymphatic vessels are of great importance because it is relied on to transport infection-fighting cells - white blood cells to all parts of our body. The purpose of the nodes is to filter this fluid. Once again breast cancer most likely appears within this system. .
             There are many types of breast cancer. Each type is composed of different symptoms. Ductal Carcinoma is one type of cancer, which originates in the milk ducts with two different forms - in situ and invasive. Approximately eighty percent of women will suffer from this type of cancer. The in situ form of this cancer is when the abnormal cells are still in place at the point of origin in the milk ducts. The cancer cells have not become malignant and invaded other areas of the breast tissue. However the invasive form does. Another type is called Lobular Carcinoma. Again there are two forms - in situ and invasive. This cancer has about a ten percent occurrence in women. This cancer begins in the lobules where milk is produced. The in situ form of this cancer is known to be a marker of the victims increased risk of developing the invasive form or Ductal Carcinoma in both breast. This cancer is hard to be diagnosed through a mammogram. It is usually detected through a biopsy. Lastly another type of breast cancer suffered by less than 1.5 percent of victims is Inflammatory Breast Cancer. This is most commonly misdiagnosed. It begins in ducts and metastases through the lymph vessels. In the early stages of researching the American Cancer Society posted an average of nine more types of breast cancer. However recent studies as of last year only prove the three as listed above.
