As I finish my high school career and look forward to my goal of attaining an education, my educational experiences demonstrate the need for honesty, industry, and courage. In my opinion honesty forms a person's character for life.
During my high school career I have been very active in the athletic program. I feel that my experiences as a varsity football and basketball player have given me a firm foundation for the person I am today. Due to my responsibilities to my teammates and myself I have never been tempted to use drugs or give into peer pressure. I know that giving into both could have had several negative affects on me physically and mentally off and on the field. Through hard work and determination I have been successful on and off the field.
Academics and extracurricular activities are a part of my high school career. I have been active in (NAME ACTIVITIES THAT YOU HAVE PARTICIPATED IN). I have learned to balance these activities with my schoolwork and have maintained a GPA of ___. Also, through my participation in football, I have visited several local elementary and junior high schools on numerous occasions to stress the importance of academics. I feel obligated to stress this message to younger kids because my parents have always stressed the same message on me. Employment (List your previous work experiences and what type of work you did)Challenges have, and always will be, a part of life. From my parents having to file for bankruptcy to their recent separation. These are the two major challenges that I have had to cope with, but I have learned to overcome these hardships in my life. It is my family's wish that I get college education. It has been a goal of mine to become the first ever in my family to attend college. Through hard work, courage, and fortitude, I will achieve my goal.
