That suggests to their fans if they have those things, they will look like a rock star and feel really close to their idols. In this issue of Rolling Stone, we have an article talking about the big concert which is going to be held in Los Angeles this summer. Many famous pop and rock groups will be show up, and they called it "Festival that you cannot miss." Before getting there, people have to put on a little bit of make-up no matter you are male or female, and most of them want to dress like their favorite rock stars.
Therefore, we can see a lot of fashion clothes, boots, perfumes, and watches that are advertised inside Rolling Stone's magazine. The advertiser knows those rock music fans are adorer, and those rock stars are their idol; those fans will buy the same thing their idol wear. Thus, the advertising company used this trick to put a lot of advertisement related to the rock star in order to increase their business. Also, the models for those advertisements either are very handsome or very sexy; the advertiser uses those models appearance or sexy bodies to sell their product; like the saying "Sex sells." Furthermore, those ads will lead young people to think buying those products they can have the same appearance and body shape as those models. Many advertisements in the magazine set an example of being fashionable which will cost a lot of money. It gives young people incorrect ideas that expensive clothes, hi-tech electronic equipments and attractive looking are the standards living materials.
