philosophy on education

Education today involves many different things. There are many teachers with many different views and many different kinds of students. There are several aspects that a teacher has to deal with as an educator. They include diversity, technology, standards, classroom management, instruction, assessment, learning opportunities, and parental involvement. It is beneficial for both the student and the teacher to be able to recognize and address all of these factors. .
When talking about diversity, this would include the classroom environment and the students in the classroom. There are many different learning styles, different races, and different economic backgrounds to consider when talking about diversity. When talking about learning styles, a teacher needs to be able to recognize the differences and provide instruction that accommodates all styles. When talking about races, the teacher needs to provide an environment that provides comfort to all of the students. An educator also needs to make sure that the economic status of children does not become an issue in the classroom. .
Technology is also a very big part of a child's education. It is becoming a very big part of society and it is to a student's benefit to be able to use it effectively. There are also many different ways to enhance a child's education with the use of technology. This requires the teacher to be able to effectively use technology. Technology skills are essential for a student to keep up with society and the world that they will eventually enter.
This leads me to another essential part of education, the standards. I see standards as an advantage to a teacher, which positively affects the students. The standards give educator guidelines to follow in their instruction. The classroom teacher has a responsibility to teach to the standards for the sake of the students. They provide are an assurance that the students are receiving the education that they need and deserve.
