            Nasa's satellite was found to confirm that a thirty-year-old unproven theory that may have been pondering about says that there are two areas near the equator that have had winds converge year after year and is driving ocean circulation form south of the equator. This means that the satellite has found a year round northern and southern Intertropical Convergence Zone. This is interesting to se because this so called theory was unproven and all of the sudden this has happened and has came to Nasa's attention. .
             In this Intertropical Convergence Zone, there is a region in which circles the Earth at the equator and there is where the trade winds of both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres have together. The sun is very strong in the Northern part of the earth and warm water heats the air in the Intertropical Convergence Zone that draws air form north to south and in turn causes the air the rise. As we both know, surely you do because you teach this class, as air rises it cools and that release the moisture in thunderstorms. .
             What I think is the interesting part about this finding is that the Intertropical Convergence has confirmed that it is at north of the equator and parallel south of the equator. This finding is important to many of people around the earth because it could mean flooding in some areas and hardly any rain at all in others. In some areas of the United States, these flooding have already occurred and things such as houses are just floating away. It is great that we can have a satellite that can warn us when things that could hurt come along. .
             For right now, the southern Intertropical Convergence Zone is weaker that it is in the northern part. This is why it has been so hard to see before. It is weaker in the South because the wind blows over cooler water and the air does not rise as easily as warm air. This is because the winds from higher altitudes are mixed up less that the winds with warmer water and air.
