Equality Has No Standards

Aristotle did that very thing. He judged a person from the outside.
The cup that Aristotle used to measure equality represents material wealth and power. A person cannot be judged by external factors. None of the arguments presented by Aristotle address the humanity of people in the lower class. He has established the ideal that social class can be used to measure people's eligibility to be included in the circle of equality. The arguments he presented are concerned with the people in power and those who function with them in a lower level. Beneath that, everyone else is treated as cattle. His thoughts have influenced a lot of people but his views seem obtuse to the reader. The patterns of his thoughts are what they are because he has not been exposed to live life as a slave. Aristotle judged others without understanding what they go through.
The ideas of Jean-Jacques Rousseau argue that people cannot help if they are born slaves because the situation is forced upon them. According to Rousseau, " If some men are by nature slaves, the reason is that they have been made slaves against nature. Force made the first slave: cowardice has perpetuated the species." This statement describes the situation of slaves. If they were born into the institution of slavery, they are subject to live in it and even accept it as a living condition. But when they find out that it is unjust, when they realize that they are not inferior to the person who is holding them against their will, they have to fight back. But in the case they accept this as an acceptable condition and choose to live with it, they will be considered as cowards. .
Rousseau's analysis not only addresses the condition of physical slavery during the eighteenth century, but also extends into the 21st century. People are living in a situation where they are enslaved by the media and by people around them. The effects of this type of slavery are evident in the way people think and act.
