Jane Eyre And Love

Jane, at the early age of eight, knows that in order to make it through life she can not go on simply by herself. She needs other people; people who love her, to help her and to show their love for her. .
Jane's search for love continues throughout her stay at Lowood School. Lowood is a school for orphaned children or "charity children."" Jane comes to be very good friends with Helen Burns. Jane actually comes to love Helen in the way one would love a sister. The sad thing about this relationship is that Helen dies due to a sickness that is spreading throughout the school. Even though Helen dies early on in their relationship with each other, Jane's love for Helen does not die. She will always remember the girl who opened her eyes to a whole new perspective on life and on death. Helen and Jane's friendship showed Jane that relationships are not all like the one between her and her family back at Gateshead. It was actually a point within the novel where Jane grew a little bit and her eyes were opened to exactly what the outside world can offer. .
Jane's next place of residence is at Thornfield, one of many homes of the wealthy Mr. Rochester. This is the place where Jane finds her true love: Mr. Rochester. The problem with this potential relationship developing is the fact that Jane is a governess and Rochester is the man of the house. Despite this difference in status the two of them not only talk everyday but also talk to each other as if they were equals in society and in their relationship to each other. .
The ease of his manner freed me from painful restraint; the friendly frankness, as correct as cordial, with which he treated me, drew me to him. I felt at times as if he were my relation, rather than my master: yet he was imperious sometimes still; but I did not mind that; I saw it was his way(Bronte, 125).
During her say at Thornfield Jane seems to be finding the person she has been looking for her entire life.
