John F. Kennedy: Was There A Conspiracy?

The gunman was given ample opportunity to shoot when the motorcade slowed down substantially at a curve. It seems highly probable that President Kennedy was shot and killed by multiple assassins who were part of a conspiracy with political connections that manifested themselves in the concealment of relevant materials and documents form the public ("John F. Kennedy Assassination").
The man believed to have killed the president was twenty-four year old Lee Harvey Oswald. He was seen leaving the Texas School Book Depository at approximately 12:33p.m. Oswald's fingerprints were found on the rifle that ballistic tests proved was the one that had been fired from the sixth floor of the depository. There was also proof that Oswald had purchased the 6.5 millimeter carbine and was in the building when the president was killed. Oswald denied shooting the president. Before he could face trial, Jack Ruby fatally shot Oswald while he was being transferred to a different jail. This is evidence that someone within the government could have been involved. Ruby had been allowed into the high security area because he was known by a number of Dallas police officers. As he shot Oswald, Ruby shouted, "You killed my president, you rat!"(Uschan 98-99).
The first official investigation was the Warren Commission. It was created by President Lyndon B. Johnson on November 29, 1963. It eventually reported its conclusion that Oswald assassinated Kennedy and he acted alone. The investigators found no evidence of a conspiracy in the assassination. Their conclusion is as follows:.
"The commission has found that Lee Harvey Oswald owned and possessed the rifle used to kill President Kennedy. He brought this rifle into the Depository Building on morning of the assassination was present at the time of the assassination at the window from which the shots were fired. He lied to the police concerning important substantive matters possessed the capability which enabled him to commit the assassination.
